INTRODUCTION

The Library and Information Centre of Sri Devaraj Urs Medical Cillege was started in 1986 and has a glorious record of 27 years of worthy services. Resource collections of twenty three thousand volumes of books are available for circulation and reference. The periodical section hold more than 200 current journals and 10,000 book back volumes of periodicals. Initially library was located in the medical college block. The Library was moved into the newly established library Building. The existing state-of-the-art new modern library is centrally air conditioned and well-furnished for end users. The library has Wi-Fi facilities to browse and access of resources in any part of the premises. The library is serving as a medical resource center, support to research, educational and clinical needs of the students, and staff of the Medical College. The Library is kept open on all working days from 8.30 AM to 10.00 PM. and all general holidays, Sundays and 2nd Saturday from 9.00 AM to 2.00 PM.
